Large-scale greenhouse facilities rely on centralised energy centres, typically incorporating heat pumps, controls systems, and supporting plant, to maintain stable growing conditions. These environments are highly sensitive to temperature fluctuations, making system reliability and rapid fault response critical.

Across multiple greenhouse sites, there is often a need to consolidate maintenance, controls support, and alarm management into a single, coordinated approach. Without this, operators can face limited visibility of system performance, inconsistent maintenance standards, and delayed responses to critical issues.

What We Deliver

We provide a coordinated, multi-site maintenance and operational support framework for greenhouse energy centres, combining planned preventative maintenance, controls optimisation, and 24/7 alarm management.

Technical Scope:

• Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) of heat pump systems in line with manufacturer requirements

• Ongoing controls support, including remote maintenance and optimisation of BMS platforms (e.g. Tridium Niagara)

• 24/7 alarm monitoring, escalation, and remote diagnostic support

• Asset tracking, compliance management, and integration with CMMS platforms

• Energy monitoring, reporting, and data analysis to support operational performance

Key Technical Activities:

• Delivery of structured PPM programmes with multiple annual inspections per asset, including full performance and functionality checks

• Standardised maintenance and reporting processes across multiple greenhouse sites

• Remote monitoring and alarm handling with defined escalation procedures and engineering response

• Continuous controls optimisation to manage heat pump sequencing, thermal storage, and integration with ancillary plant such as CHP and boilers

• Management of F-Gas compliance, refrigerant handling, and asset records

• Provision of performance reporting, including regular summaries and long-term asset condition reviews

• Close coordination with client operational teams for reactive support and ongoing system improvements
