The Challenge
Baystar required a complete controls solution for Splashpoint’s plant, covering both control and small power for new equipment. The project needed a single supplier to take responsibility for panel design through to software development, bench testing, and final commissioning, while aligning strictly with the design team’s description of operation and drawings.
What We Delivered
Technical Scope:
- Developed full I/O points list for control system and small power based on issued technical drawings and Des‑Op
- Designed and manufactured a new MCC panel with integrated HMI and system graphics
- Produced panel drawings (Rev 0) for approval prior to build, then carried out full panel build, inspection and delivery to site
- Developed Tridium / Niagara N4 control strategy, including I/O and network configuration, heat/electricity meter integration, and functional testing by section
- Completed pre‑commissioning: wiring reviews, Jace commissioning, point‑to‑point testing, sensor initialisation, and documentation
- Performed onsite verification against Des‑Op, final calibration, controls commissioning, paperwork, and handover demonstration to Baystar
Key Technical Points:
- HMI on panel fascia for clear local system overview
- Structured bench testing of the Jace program before it left the workshop
- Commissioning approach covering both plant controls and BMS interface
